Eleven Monthiversary
11 months old - 1 more month to 1! This month was my last one at home with my baby. I've been back to work since Tuesday and have only locked my car keys in my trunk once so far.
Caitlin is doing very well at daycare: she doesn't cry at drop off anymore and is eating and napping well. Since January she has become an awesome sleeper, sleeping an unprecedented 10 hours in her crib every night. Just in time for me to go back to work :)
Her big milestone for the month is standing up from the ground on her own and taking 4-5 wobbly steps on her own. She still thinks crawling is the most efficient mode of transportation, even though she has to use her mouth to carry objects from one place to another (the other method is throw-and-go).
Caitlin's new favourite thing to do is try to climb everything in sight. It's a miracle so many babies survive with such little sense of self-preservation...

Ten monthiversary
Caitlin is now ten months old. She has five little teeth with a sixth in the process of coming in. Her favourite things to do are: clap, jump, and put things on her head.
She's so close to walking - she can stand quite well on her own and will take one step before falling forwards onto her hands and knees. But I've learned my lesson - I'm going to enjoy these last relaxing days before she can walk and run!

Time for new pjs!
Caitlin went through a growth spurt recently and grew over an inch in the last 2 weeks. Thankfully it seems to be over now and her top three teeth are poking through - along with her big toe!

Eight + Nine monthiversary
It's crazy how fast things are happening now. Caitlin went from sitting up to standing to crawling to cruising all within a couple weeks. This baby is now on the move! We've started baby-proofing but it's basically impossible to baby-proof everything. Just the other day she decided a 2-L coke bottle sitting on the ground would make a good thing to pull herself up on (it turns out it's actually a very bad idea).
She's been going through a growth spurt so none of us have been getting much sleep. Her top three teeth are also in the process of coming in.
Today Caitlin had her nine-month appointment. Her head size is in the 73rd percentile, length is 91st percentile, and weight is down to a measly 42nd percentile. We have got ourselves a tall skinny baby. I'm sure her genes will catch up to her soon though - she can't be tall forever!
I look back at old videos and pictures and cannot believe how much my baby has grown. Just a few months ago, she was lying immobile on her back staring at toys, and that's all it took to keep her entertained. Now it's go-go-go all the time! Going back to work will be relaxing after this...
